The emphasis of this event is international communities. Joining us via Skype from Ghana will be Samuel Anuga. He is a young man involved in a grassroots organization called Alliance for Sanitation and Environmental Sustainability.
Included in this international forum will be Matt Remle of the Standing Rock Sioux. He lives here in Seattle. As you likely know, the Standing Rock Sioux are at the center of the ongoing protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota, which hundreds of tribes have joined.
A third speaker to be engaged is in the works.

Speakers will present for up to 20-minutes each and address questions from the audience. As is the norm for Race & Climate Justice there will be breakout groups in order to allow us all to be heard and to examine ourselves in relation to the topic.
