Coexistence Trio with Rich Stein at THE ROOM
Coexistence Trio is Denver's freshest home-grown jazz group, features pianist Peter John Stoltzman, drummer Andreas Schmid (Spherio, Delta Sonics), and bassist John Grigsby (Gregory Allen Isakov, SuperCollider). The band spent half a year co-composing original repertoire, and played its first public gigs in a 2016 residency at Dazzle Jazz Club. In the spring, the trio recorded their debut album at Mighty Fine Productions and played a sold-out concert at Silks.

The music has the Euro-jazz aesthetic of EST, the soulful seeking of 1970s Keith Jarrett, and the modern harmonic complexity of Robert Glasper. After parting ways for summer tours, Coexistence Trio is back in Denver for 2016-17, releasing their album, Momentum Forward, and establish their niche in the Colorado music scene.

Tonight, the band is joined by the extraordinary world percussionist, Rich Stein, from New York City, and will feature a special guest appearance by Brazilian guitarist, Gabriel Santiago.

Admission $15 Online, $17 at Door
