Charles Van Damme Ferry 100th Birthday Bash
The Charles Van Damme Ferry Birthday Bash is a celebration of many things.
1. The Ferrys centennial( it was built in 1916).
2. 10 years of the Charles Van Damme ferry project. Creating awareness, raising seed money, and saving the Charles Van Damme Ferrys 100yr old paddlewheel & steam stack from demolition.
3. We are also celebrating County approval & permits for the Charles van Damme ferry artifacts to be restored and exhibited back in its original resting place in the new state mandated park at Waldo Point harbor.
Help us maintain 100 yrs of waterfront history to inspire the generations to come.
Dance to live Music at the Sausalito Seahorse
Joe Tate, Maggie Catfish and the Hippy Voices http://www.thehippievoices.com/ Joe Tate and Maggie Catfish both played on the Charles Van Damme when it was a waterfront hangout. Maggie has drawn some beautiful sketches of the ferry and Joe has been a solid supporter of the cause since the start.
Fiver Brown http://floatingrecords.com/fiver-brown Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Fiver Brown brings a unique combination of soul and songwriting to the Bay Area. Either solo or with his mighty band, he sets feets to stomping all around California with his insightful lyrics and soulful, bluesy voice. He resides in Sausalito on his houseboat that resembles a Potato Chip.
Jerry Hannan http://jerryhannan.com/ Described as "shades of Dylan and John Prine ...very Americana with a faint Irish lilt", Hannan's songs speak of our everyday lives and the magic that we sometimes miss. He's a storyteller, known for his thought provoking lyrics and exuberant performances.
Pacifico Samonte and Harmonic Law Pacifico is passionate musician and works on the ferries himself. Our very own waterfront musical treasure. There isnt a band locally he hasn't played guitar for. Recently returned from Whisky a go go with his band Harmonic Law. They are changing the rules of the game and taking us all by storm.
