Taking place on the first Wednesday of every month, Caffe Lena's poetry open mic, hosted by Carol Graser, is a relaxed, supportive performance opportunity for poets of all styles and levels of experience. Sign-up starts at 6:30 PM. Readings start at 7:00 PM. Each poet reads two short poems (less than one page) or one longer poem, with a limit of 5 minutes altogether.

This month's featured poet, Judith Kerman, retired as Professor Emerita of English from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan, where she taught creative writing, literature and electronic media. She has published nine collections of poems, most recently "Aleph, broken: Poems from My Diaspora"(Broadstone Books, 2016) and three collections of translations. She was a Fulbright scholar in the Dominican Republic in 2002. She is publisher of Mayapple Press in Woodstock, NY.

Adam Tedesco is a founding editor of REALITY BEACH, and contributing editor for Drunk In A Midnight Choir. His recent work has appeared or is forthcoming in Funhouse, Souvenir, Prelude, Hobart, The Nervous Breakdown and elsewhere. He is the author of several chapbooks, including The Heart Sutra, available this September.
