Strangebrew Beerfest #9

The date this year will be Saturday, NOVEMBER 12th, we will keep with the 5:30 pm door time, and try to wrap everything up by 10:00 pm.

Much like the previous 8 years, we want to encourage brewers, and their talents, to be the focal-point of our event. This is exactly what has made Strangebrew Beerfest such a success, and we all look forward to many years of giving props to the local brewers and breweries - like a real beerfest should be.

Judging this year will remain as people's choice. Our Emcee, and hostess with the mostess Jamie Bondage, will be devising a more intuitive form of judging...I think it has something to do with mason jars, chains, or something. We'll let you know details prior to the event.

There will hopefully be a few new additions to this years event! As mentioned earlier, Jamie Bondage will be running things, so watch your step! Also, we'll have Savage Henry Independent Times (S.H.I.T.) back in the house for a live podcast of the event! Even more! Well have Southside Mike doing some serious BBQ just outside the theater (blocking off the sidewalk, and using the outer lobby). And if that weren't enough, The Compost Mountain Boys will be providing the soundtrack for one helluva a night! Just an FYI; we may also have the ladies from Va Va Voom Burlesque mingling!

Due to the relatively small venue size, this event has sold out almost every year since its inception. In the efforts to remain a somewhat intimate event, public attendance will be capped at 400 tickets. Tickets are available online at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2615138 and through a few of our local business partners: All local breweries, The Works, Wildberries and Annex 39.

The theater will be working with the Best Western Humboldt Bay Inn (232 West 5th Street, Eureka, CA 95501) again this year to provide fairly cheap rooms. Just mention the event for discounts. We have also asked the Eureka Inn across the street, for discounted rooms as well.
