YOGAVEDA
YogaVeda Weekend
Using Yoga & Ayurveda for Practical Self Care
w/ Alex Ryberg & Jenny Griffith

You know there's more to yoga than showing up for class and doing countless down dogs (right?). You know youre ready to dive deep, own your body & mind, and apply the practices for continual self care (we feel you). You know its possible!
Let us guide you.

YogaVeda - Yoga meaning union, Veda meaning knowledge - will be an experiential weekend of Yoga and Ayurveda, Yogas sister science, goodness! Unifying the knowledge from both systems in a practical, simplistic way; to give you a taste, to inspire you to continue, to bring you closer to your Self.

Cost: $75 for whole weekend, or $30/Class

Saturday 10/8 - Chakras, Doshas, and Yoga Asana / 10:30am - 12:30pm

This Class will be half lecture and half experience! Well introduce Ayurveda, Yogas sister science - a powerful form of ancient medicine, and help you understand the basic relationship among the three Ayurvedic Doshas - Vata, Pitta, Kapha, Yogic Chakras, and Yoga postures.
The yoga class will take the student through each dosha and chakras like a whimsical ride through the elements, leaving a super grounded outlook on the body through an Ayurvedic lens. Get ready to dig down deep into the soil through earthy poses, ignite your fire through heating twists/pranayama, and fluid dynamic movements full of wind and air to send your mind and body on an elemental pose party!

Saturday 10/8 - Vata in Fall, Day 1 / 2pm-4pm

What is the Vata Dosha?
Now that you have a general understanding of Ayurveda, well talk about the Vata Dosha in more depth. How vata effects the dhatus, what a Vata pacifying diet looks like, foods to favor,
Vata season lifestyle choices, exercise, herbal support. This class will be primarily lecture with guided meditation at the end for grounding closure.

Sunday 10/9 - Vata in Fall, Day 2 / 10:30am - 12:30pm

How to Navigate Fall
Autumn is dry, rough, windy, erratic, cool, subtle, and clear. These are all qualities shared by vata dosha, and because like increases like, autumn is considered a vata season. This same principle illustrates why taking a few simple steps to balance vata this fall can be tremendously beneficial. Balancing the nature of your local climate with lifestyle choices that offset the potential for seasonally-induced imbalances is one of the simplest ways that you can protect your well-being. Together we will review a fall protocol that will include specific asana, daily routine, lifestyle choices, diet, herbs, and more! This seasonal routine is an investment in your own health and vitality!
