NATTY NATIONS DIVINE SPARK DEBUTS AT #3 ON THE BILLBOARD REGGAE CHART

Natty Nations Divine Spark has impressively debuted at #3 on the Billboard Reggae chart.  Divine Spark (released March 11th, 2016 on iNatty Records) is the bands fifth studio album and represents epiphanic spiritual and artistic journeys.  The album includes 10 tracks mixed by legendary Bob Marley recording engineer Errol Brown, 2 dub versions mixed by Natty Nation, and features a seething guest verse from acclaimed South Side, Chicago-via-Madison rapper F. Stokes.

Since its inception in 1995, Natty Nation has issued five award-winning studio albums along with a string of live albums. The group describes themselves as hard roots rock reggae & dub, though it doesn't take long before their embrace of soul, rock, and funk becomes evident. In addition to their honest and authentic roots reggae foundation, influenced by Aswad, Steel Pulse, and of course Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer, Natty Nation cites such diverse geniuses as Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Living Colour, Earth Wind and Fire, Fishbone, and Bad Brains as major influences on their overall sound.

Natty Nation has a fluid membership of esteemed and visionary musicians. Currently, Natty Nation is led by JAH Boogie  bass & lead vocals (also percussion & drums in the studio), and musical director AaronKonkol  keyboards, vocals,& melodica.  The collective also features mainstays RichardHildner  guitar, and Olen Franklin  drums, as well as frequent players Shonn Hinton (Mary J. Blige, John Legend) guitar,MikeDaum (Particle)  guitar, Francisco Martinez  percussion and vocals, & HarjinderSingh (Lilla, Fatbook)  guitar and vocals.

Natty Nation has it down. Their produced work is clean, undeniably exciting and texturedThe tracks offDivine Sparkare raw and unapologetic, emphasizing their passion for playing great music.  TopShelf Reggae

Divine Sparkis roots reggae in the early UK tradition, but with a contemporary flair.
Highlights includeProphecy, powered by strong backing vocals, the dreamyMeditationand the soulful title track. The U.S. reggae scene continues to grow and put forward talented acts.  Reggaemani

there is an introspective quality throughout this albumThe band has written songs that are both catchy and thought-provoking.  If you're a fan of traditional reggae, this will be a great addition to your collection.  AXS/Examiner (5 out of 5 Stars)

Natty Nation is an airtight ensemble...  Ames Tribune

Errol Brown (Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, Burning Spear, among others) mixed the album on his makeshift studio he built in the back ofRebelutionstour bus. At the time of mixingDivine Spark, Errol was doing live sound for Rebelution. He came into the picture after Aaron Konkol attended a Rebelution show, and discovered he was the engineer behind the bands pristine live sound. Errol worked humbly and consistently with Aaron to fully realize the elusive sound Natty Nation envisioned forDivine Spark, which Brown now considers a masterpiece.

Divine Sparkmarks the beginning of an era of fevered creativity and watershed output for Natty Nation. The band plans to spread the joy, uplift the people, and share these future classics on the road imminently.
