Multiple award winning playwright, director and producer, Peachanda DuBose tells the story of a young unarmed black male, killed at the hands of law enforcement.
A young man with a hugely troubled past, and some would say "He had it coming."
Peachanda has set out to assemble a national cast, to depict the story that is all too familiar within the African American community, but in a way that is sure to leave you inspired to think, reflect, and change your way of thinking.
"FERGUSON" is largely an all-male cast, of veteran actors, singers, spoken word artists, and rappers, with the exception of veteran actress Trisha Mann Grant, who portrays the role of a news journalist who follows this story closely. This historic piece is not only a musical, but an unforgettable experience.
The cast serve as jurors 1-12 in trial deciding the guilt or innocence of the white officer, in an intense, heated session in one of Ferguson's court house deliberation rooms. The troubling facts, the past of the deceased, and internal prejudices all play a significant role in the inevitable outcome.
