Winter Solstice Celebration: A Gift for the Senses
Join us for a day that is sure to be a gift to the senses. In the midst of the holiday bustle, its important to take time out for yourself and weve got just the thing for you!
Bob Sima is a dynamic singer-songwriter, performer, storyteller, speaker, servant of humanity, workshop and retreat leader, meditation and breathwork facilitator, and creative collaborator often weaving all of these elements into a single performance. His soul-stirring performances straddle the worlds of folk, kirtan, soul, and gospel as he navigates audiences deeply on a journey, both individually and as a collective. Flowing with the unique energy at each event and rarely making a set-list, he is a master at going from foot-stomp to pin-drop. He guides audiences into a space for thingsepiphanies, light bulbs coming on, shiftsto happen. His performances invite a visceral embodiment of the music and message in a wide-open space of possibilities.
We are THRILLED to announce that on Saturday, Dec 17th, Bob Sima will begin the day at IWC with a music meditation to soften the senses and center the spirit. The intention of Music Meditation is to hold the space for participants to go on a deeply personal experience. It is a multi-dimensional experience of inspiring, message-rich, live music, conscious breathwork, silence, and guided meditationall interwoven to take listeners on a beautiful inward journey.
He will then facilitate an afternoon workshop to release the Aurora Borealis within us all. Our bodies fluctuate between balance and imbalance multiple times throughout the day. Imbalance can be identified on many levels - physical, emotional, mental, dietary, intellectual, spiritual, etc - and can flow through multiple levels at any given moment. Since an imbalance does not always present in physical form (aches and pains) within our body, detection must be felt through our internal energy system. How can we reach the obvious and unseen energies within us?
The Full Body Musical Experience is an intentional chakra balance. It reaches the space where the divine and the human intersect, where the physical meets the non-physical, where the body-mind-spirit merge. It is a uniquely personal journey for insights, heightened levels of awareness, epiphanies, deep relaxation, transformations, and inner peace. It is a multi-dimensional experience of discussion, guided meditation, live music, conscious breathwork, sound, and light. Each of the 7 major chakra centers is intentionally awakened during this beautiful inward journey.
Bob will close the evening with a fireside concert. Allow your soul to be serenaded and musically seduced. Join us to celebrate the winter solstice and the wellness space offered by InnerSource Wellness Center.
Linnea Tober, of Metamorphosis Gallery, will be unveiling her chakra artwork during the event which will be on display throughout the day. Her photographic abstractions stem from her love of flowers and her desire to create works that focus on the simple colors and textures each flower creates. She photographs with a painters eye, always seeking to capture color above all else...then proceeds to use her design background to twist, tweak and otherwise manipulate her captures into something raw, organic and pulsating.
Linneas CHAKRA series began life as photographs of flowers throughout her gardens. However, instead of focusing mainly on flower colors, she also carefully chose each one based on the energetic vibrations she received from them. This energy determined the chakra and the design they were used for. For example, the red chakra began life as a rose, the yellow as a tulip, orange a lily, and so on.
