Fifth Annual Wine Tasting and Culinary Event at the Slovene Consulate
The Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia and Slow Food Tennessee Valley Cordially invites you to the Fifth Annual Wine Tasting and Culinary Event at the Slovene Consulate 4801 Westover Terrace, Knoxville, TN 37914 5:30-8:30 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2016
This year we will feature with 15 wines from four southeastern European Countries: Slovenia(6), Croatia(5), Hungary(2) and Bosnia Herzegovina(2)
Traditional Slovenian and related foods will be offered: including a variety of small savory potica rolls, ivapii (highly seasoned ground meat kebabs), fig/lemon-prosciutto-goat cheese pizza (hot from the wood fired pizza oven), and others
This years event is being hosting jointly by Lydia Miheli Pulsipher, Honorary Slovene Consul for Tennessee, and the Board of Directors of Slow Food Tennessee Valley
$70 a person Proceeds will go towards Slow Food Tennessee Valleys continuing initiative to host field trips for inner city students to local farms and farmers markets.
