Veteran Business Training & Outreach Conference
This 11th Annual Veteran Business Training and Outreach Conference will be held for the first time in the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. Home to one of the worlds greatest collections of racing sports cars.
This program is meant to provide specific information on how to take advantage of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) Verification status issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) under the VAs Veterans First Contracting Program.
Verification status opens windows for procurement opportunities with both VAs Veterans First Contracting Program and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvanias (PA) Diversity opportunities and their Prime Contractors. Both programs require CVE verification for participation.
Experts from VA OSDBU and PA will be present to discuss their respective programs, give tips on finding opportunities and how to get the attention of those necessary to help you succeed.
Sub-contracting is also a valuable way to participate in both programs so a nationally known expert on teaming arrangements and Joint Ventures will also be there to provide advice.
Nationally known business experts will also present advanced business strategies to help growing companies navigate through large specialty markets.
The day is provided with your personal selection of breakout sessions to include topics such as Veteran Business Verification, Roles of protests and claims in federal procurement, Negotiations for Leaders, Advertising options and education with a light lunch provided, an exhibit area and, of course, time to check out the museum. This is a premier opportunity to get information you need, network with other Veteran Businesses in an exclusive and enjoyable setting.
---------------------------------------------------------------- This event is designed for Procurement Ready companies and companies on an upward growth path. Companies that are procurement ready and that are on an upward growth path are small businesses that are positioned to compete in targeted large markets like Federal and State acquisitions or as reliable sub-contractors to larger businesses that have contracts with them. Two separate tracks will be available one to focus on the initial eligibility requirements and opportunities available through appropriate registrations, certifications, or verification and one track to provide guidance on how to strategically prepare your company to participate in large markets, make yourself known and deliver as promised. ---------------------------------------------------------------
