DIGITAL NATURE: TECHNO-BOTANCIAL ART IN THE GARDEN A spectacular evening of animation, light, and sound in the landscape October 21 & 22. 6pm - 9pm.

With themes as diverse as invasive exotics, natural pigments, plant tropism and an ancient Chinese poem, these digital and video works explore the intersection of horticulture and technology. Sited within the Arboretums collections to illuminate hidden meanings, the art will create surprise and delight in one of LAs most treasured public gardens.Live music by Desert Magic, no-host bar and food trucks.
Artists: Jeff Cain, John Carpenter, Kevin Cooley, Chris Doyle, Courtney Egan, Andrew McKee, Sandra Osborne, Sasha Petrenko, David Sullivan, Gail Wight, Jenny Yurshansky and Rebecca Ruige Xu.
The curator of the show is Shirley Alexandra Watts, who in 2012 curated Natural Discourse: Artists, Architects, Scientists & Poets in the Garden, an exhibit of site specific work at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden.
