Join us for an afternoon of music and song with Mezzo-Soprano Frederica von Stade and pianist James Meredith.  This intimate concert will be held in Paloma Hall, an acoustically excellent chamber music hall located on the grounds of Camphill California in Soquel.  The concert is a benefit for Camphill California.

The concert will be  followed by a reception with an opportunity to meet the artists.

Tickets $200.

Frederica von Stade, one of the most beloved of all opera stars, has enriched the world of classical music for three decades with her opera, concert, and recital appearances. The mezzo-soprano is well known to audiences around the world through her numerous featured appearances on television including several PBS specials and Live from Lincoln Center telecasts. She has made over sixty recordings with every major label, including complete operas, aria albums, symphonic works, solo recital programs, and popular crossover albums. Among many awards, her recordings have garnered six Grammy nominations.

James Meredith is one of the Bay Area's fine classical music artists.  As a solo pianist, vocal and instrumental accompanist and conductor in America, Europe and Asia, his work has brought him to work with Elly Ameling, Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Eleanor Steber, and Gerald Moore.  He is a frequent musical partner with mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade.  The concerts with Ms. von  Stade have included two appearances on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion. He conducts the country's acclaimed Sonos Handbell Ensemble and is recorded on nationaaly recognized CDs.
