Jan Brett Presents: Gingerbread Christmas
Join Bookbug in welcoming loved children's book author/illustrator JAN BRETT for the release of her newest book:"A Gingerbread Christmas"
This presentation and book signing will take place at Kanely Chapel/Western Michigan University on Saturday, December 3rd. Please plan to arrive to the chapel no later than 4:40pm.
Ticket options include:
1. Book Bundle $21
General Admission access to the event for one person, includes one hardcover copy of "A Gingerbread Christmas." Book will be picked up at venue. Book bundle ticket holders receive first access to the post-reading signing line.
2. General admission ticket $5
This ticket will grant admission and seating for Jan's presentation. Jan will sign extra books (unlimited copies of other titles Bookbug will have present for sale at this event and up to one pre-existing copy/customer, time permitting)
Jan Brett is an American illustrator and writer of children's picture books. She is known for colorful, detailed depictions of a wide variety of animals and human cultures ranging from Scandinavia to Africa. Her best-known titles include The Mitten, The Hat, and Gingerbread Baby. She has adapted or retold numerous traditional stories such as the Gingerbread Man and Goldilocks and has illustrated some classics such as "The Owl and the Pussycat".
**Book Bundle ticket holders will pick up their books upon presenting their ticket, day of, at the venue, and not before. Additional copies may be purchased at Bookbug upon the book's official release, October 18th.***
-Kanley Chapel is north of the University Computing Center on west Michigan Ave. From Stadium Drive, take Oliver Street west. Turn right on Western Ave, then left on West Michigan Ave. Turn right on N. Dormitory Rd, then left on Gilkinson Ave. Turn right into parking lot 40 or left into lot 41. Kanley Chapel is on the other side of Sangren to the south.
-Doors will open at 4:20pm. Please have physical tickets ready. Lines will be set up in the lobby to take *any* ticket type.
-Please refrain from flash photography.
-A signing line will follow the event. Book Bundle Ticket holders will be asked to line up first. General admission ticket holders may then join. Any person wishing to have more than 1 previous Brett title signed are asked to wait at the back of the line. Books may be personalized. No posed photos, no flash photography.
Refunds / Order cancellations:
