American Idol WINNER Kris Allen In Blue Ridge!
Kris Allen blew away the judges and won over the hearts of millions of fans on the way to being crowned American Idol, in which nearly 100 million votes were cast during the finale, setting a new world record for a televised singing competition. He then went on to record and release his multi-platinum debut album, with the hit single "Live Like We're Dying", which reached Number 3 on the Billboard Pop Charts.
Firefly Music Series is beyond thrilled to bring Kris Allen to Blue Ridge for a very special concert on Friday, September 30th, at an amazingly beautiful home right on Lake Blue Ridge. This is a show NOT TO BE MISSED! Tickets are limited, and an exclusive number of VIP Meet & Greet passes are available. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Lake Blue Ridge Civic Association Scholarship Fund for deserving Fannin County students. Great music that supports a great cause- what could be better!
Kris Allen himself is a tremendous contributor on the humanitarian front. He has participated in missionary work in several countries around the world, and has become heavily involved with several charitable organizations that promote music education, including the Music Empowers Foundation and Little Kids Rock. He has also been a supporter of TOMS Shoes, participating in the company's first shoe drop in Rwanda in March of 2010, and traveled to Haiti with the United Nations Foundation in order to raise awareness for the disaster relief efforts there as the UN and other groups continue to rebuild after the earthquake.
