Public Event: Saturday, October 15, 2016 Treasury of Knowledge will host a public event that includes an interview with Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche by David Kaczynski followed by public Q&A and book signing with both authors. The books will be available for sale or pre-ordered: *3:00 - 3:30pm: Registration *3:30 - 5:00pm: Interview and Q&A *5:00 - 6:00pm: Book Signing - Emotional Rescue by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche and Every Last Tie: The Story of the Unibomber and His Family, a memoir by David Kaczynski.

Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche is a renowned scholar and teacher in the Nyingma and Kagyu schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Rinpoche is the founder and president of Nalandabodhi, an international network of Buddhist meditation centers, and of Nalanda West, an international events center located in Seattle, WA. Rinpoche is an accomplished poet and visual artist as well as a prolific author. His books include Mind Beyond Death, Rebel Buddha, and most recently, Emotional Rescue. Rinpoche is known for his sharp intellect, humor and easygoing teaching style. Rinpoche will be teaching the 3-step Plan from his new book, Emotional Rescue: How to Work With Your Emotions to Transform Hurt and Confusion Into Energy That Empowers You.
Information about David Kaczynski: David Kaczynski is the past executive director of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, a Buddhist monastery in Woodstock, New York. He and his wife Linda Patrik are longtime students of Dzochen Ponlop Rinpoche. David is the author of the memoir "Every Last Tie: The Story of the Unabomber and His Family" and the poetry chapbook "A Dream Named You".
David lectures frequently on issues related to mental illness and has presented to the American Association of State Forensic Directors, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the New York State District Attorneys Association, the National CIT Conference, and the National Association of Social Workers, among other audiences. David is previously served as executive director of New Yorkers for Alternatives to the Death Penalty, and as assistant director of the Equinox Shelter for runaway and homeless youth.
