Betsy Bluegrass Bash
NewFound Road --- ONE NIGHT ONLY! With their soaring harmonies and innovative approach to bluegrass on the shelf, the last three years without Newfound Road have been long for many bluegrass fans! The Betsy Bluegrass Bash is happy to announce there is some relief in sight: a one night southern reunion with Newfound Road. Playing in the historic TA Dugger auditorium, this promises to be a show to properly showcase the amazing musical talents of Tim Shelton, Josh Miller, Joe Booher and Jamie Booher. And if youve never seen this road hardened, edgy bluegrass band, now might be your only chance as this is the only show planned for the group in the South. Opening for NFR will be two local talents, the first being Stemwinder, a local bluegrass band with a strong upswing, like their gig in Merlefest 2016 can attest! Take a musical journey with this new quartet across time and musical boundaries. Bluegrass to folk and then some. From Norman Blake and Tony Rice to Tom Paxton, & the Carter Family with stops along the way to visit the Eagles, the Byrds, Sam Bush, Dan Fogelberg, Richard Thompson, Michael Martin Murphy, and even the Rolling Stones. Each of the four band member brings their own personal influences to the mix creating an interesting and diverse listening experience. Also opening will be Loren Harris and his gospel group Valley Forge. Musicians from Valley Forge Church praise band make up this extremely talented band who promises to rock the house with their country and bluegrass gospel sound! Fans can also leave the cooking to us with a mini food truck rodeo! Noli Truck and Auntie Ruth's Doughnuts will be slinging their fine fare!
