An Afternoon with Scars on 45
Please join CONNartists and Pamnation as we welcome Scars on 45 back to Southbury, CT. This very special, late afternoon show is a powerful way to support a band that means so much to us while spending some time with other amazing music fans.

This will be one of the last appearances by the band in the US before they return home to finish recording their third album. As always, all money donated will go directly to the artist. This time, however, all money will go directly to helping the band record their THIRD, full-length album.

The schedule for the afternoon is:

3:30PM: Drinks (BYO) and hang out with new and old friends (and some members of Scars on 45). Weather depending, the event will begin outside where attendees will have a chance to mingle and play some outdoor games.

5:00PM: Scars on 45 will play a full acoustic set. This set will be based upon requests submitted by attendees. You will have a chance to send your suggestions once your register your spot. If you have any difficulty noting your requests, please contact the event organizer.

Please note: an email containing all important information will be sent to registrants one week prior to the event.

Scars on 45 Biography

British alt-rock ensemble Scars on 45 make yearning, melodic pop that combines the big guitar rock of Oasis with the melodic, country-influenced sound of Fleetwood Mac. Formed in Bradford, Yorkshire around 2007, Scars on 45 began as a duo after former football-mates, singer/songwriter Danny Bemrose and bassist Stuart Nichols, started writing songs together. Eventually the band expanded to include keyboardist David Nowakowski, vocalist Aimee Driver, and drummer Chris Durling. While the group developed a local following, it wasn't until their song "Beauty's Running Wild" was used in a 2009 episode of the CBS television drama CSI:New York that Scars on 45 caught the attention of the wider music industry. In 2011, buoyed by that success and a record deal with the Chop Shop label, Scars on 45 released two EPs, including Give Me Something and Heart on Fire, the latter's title cut appeared on the Greys Anatomy, Vol. 4 soundtrack. A year later, the band released their self-titled debut album featuring the single "Heart on Fire." In 2014, Scars on 45 returned with their sophomore full-length album, Safety in Numbers, featuring the single, "Crazy for You." ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
