::: About Run Boy Run :::

This is folk music for everyone to love.  Maeri Ferguson, Glide Magazine

Existing comfortably in the tension between tradition and the musical frontier, Tucson Americana Run Boy Run blends bluegrass, folk and the old timey American vernacular with touches of classical and turn of the century details. Their new album, I Would Fly, available September 2016 on Sky Island Records, has garnered early praise, as did their three other records from the likes of All Music Guide, Performer Magazine, PopMatters, The Guardian, and more. Their new album features three new original songs and one cover of a Carter Family hit, "Hello Stranger". Its no surprise that the band counts Garrison Keillor of NPR's 'A Prairie Home Companion' and renowned Irish fiddler Kevin Burke among their growing legion of fans.

The band is brother and sister Matt Rolland (fiddle, guitar) and Grace Rolland (cello, vocals) and sisters Bekah Sandoval Rolland (fiddle, vocals) and Jen Sandoval (mandolin, vocals). With three strong female voices, singing separately or in harmony, and deeply rooted familial connection to traditional American music, Run Boy Run didnt come lately to their sound; it's in their collective blood. On these tour dates, Ryan Alfred (Sweet Ghosts, ex-Calexico) will play bass.

The unique sound of the band is rooted in the traditional music of the Appalachian South, continuing a sense of innovation in traditional American music put forth by bands such as Nickel Creek, Crooked Still, and The Wailin' Jennys. Run Boy Run continues this journey into music that is dynamic, orchestral, and brimming with beauty. Three strong female voices weave a tapestry of sound, and the award-winning fiddlers cut a path for a tightly formed rhythmic front. Every arrangement is  at its core  captivating.

From winning the band contest at Pickin In The Pines (mere weeks after forming in 2009) and a special appearance at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2012, to two appearances on NPR's 'A Prairie Home Companion' (host Garrison Keillor was also impressed enough that he penned the liner notes to the band's debut album), they were tagged by Paste Magazine as One of the top 10 Arizona bands to hear now. They've been making fans across the U.S. with their open-ended musical approach and dynamic stage presence, and will take that live show back across the country coast to coast this summer and fall.

::: About Laura and the Killed Men :::

"Pure country and western, with an emphasis on "western." And they sound pretty good, too." --No Depression

Laura and the Killed Men steep their songs in the lore of the American West, refracting its triumphs and tragedies through an intimate lens. Laura Kepner-Adney, the lead singer and guitarist in the Tucson-based band, shades her spellbinding voice with echoes of country and Appalachia. Her expansive songwriting, honed from seven years in the critically acclaimed ensemble Silver Thread Trio, highlights her connection to Arizonas unforgiving environment. For Laura and the Killed Mens first LP, Everchanging Trail, Kepner-Adney, in collaboration with songwriting partner and lead guitarist Sam Golden, has developed a style that weaves together all the diverse and disparate elements of what has defined country music throughout the 20th and 21st centuries and forges something timelessly familiar yet wholly unique. Bob Hanshaw and Björgvin Benediktsson, sharing bass duties, and Seth Vietti, drums, supply soaring vocal harmonies and a tightly refined backbeat. After making their debut opening for Mavis Staples, Laura and the Killed Men recorded the One Bell hybrid CD/analog record and embarked on a nine-week national tour. Their first full-length album, Everchanging Trail (released April 2016), uses songs they wrote on their 12,000-mile journey around the country.

::: About Landry :::
Landry McMeans is a current member of Gangstagrass (the makers of the emmy nominated theme to the FX series, Justified, from Brooklyn, NY) and a former member of the Lonesome Heroes from Austin, TX.

McMeans sings soulful Alt. Country originals over her reverb heavy electrified dobro. Her lilting, airy vocals have often been compared to Alison Kraus, as well as Margo Timmins of Cowboy Junkies. Her sound as a whole is a western bound "road trip chauffeured by Cat Power and Neil Young." With upbeat songs that are danceable, nostalgic, and up-lifting.
