Hayley Thompson-King
Her music has been described as early Angel Olsen (Nina Corcoran, DigBoston), her voice as bits of Dolly, Emmylou and Loretta (Jed Gottlieb, The Boston Herald), and her live shows make you worried you're about to get pushed into an abandoned Texas mineshaft by a psychopath with a shotgun and a dresser full of love letters (Luke ONeil, Street Carnage).
Hayley Thompson-King, former front woman of American psych-rock band Major Stars (Drag City) and creator of Boston's garage-girl-group Banditas (Hard To Kill Records) is releasing her first full-length solo record and hitting the road in 2016. (Though not technically "solo" as she is backed by a group of incredible musicians: Amy Saltzman on rhythm guitar and harmonies, Chris Maclachlan (Human Sexual Response) on bass, and Jonathan Ulman (Thalia Zedek Band) on drums)
