How to Field Dress an Android
HOW TO FIELD DRESS AN ANDROID is a futuristic, jungle adventure.
Written by Irene L. Pynn and directed by Blayze Teicher, the play is about a man who struggles with the concept of hunting and harvesting androids to save his wife's life. It explores questions of the soul and civil rights.
Audiences of HOW TO FIELD DRESS AN ANDROID will find themselves on an island owned by Parry Kenneth, the president of Intelligent Solutions--the leading manufacturer of human looking androids. In the not-too-distant future of this immersive production, killing animals for sport is illegal, so hunting enthusiast Kenneth is reduced to hunting his own machines. It's humans vs. androids and we--the audience--are the androids.
HOW TO FIELD DRESS AN ANDROID, a First Person production, will be performed at University Settlement, 184 Eldridge Street (corner of Rivington), Manhattan; J-Z to Bowery or B-D to Grand St; Oct. 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th at 8:00 PM each day. Mature content, not appropriate for audiences under 18. Tickets are $18.00 and can be purchased the day of the show or in advance at www.brownpapertickets.com. For more information (646) 820-6135.
