Skillet Licker Music Night featuring Josiah Siska
The Skillet Lickers are excited to announce its partnership with Daculas AM1680 Country Crossroads, to relaunch the popular Skillet Licker Music Nights at the Dacula Concert Pavilion for the first time since May 2014! This series will feature a mixture of great local Country artists, as well as nationally acclaimed Country stars and legends. The series, dubbed Skillet Licker Music Nights, presented by AM1680 Country Crossroads, will launch with one show in 2016, on Sunday, September 4th (Labor Day weekend). The series will continue in 2017 with multiple shows in the spring and summer seasons.
The very first show in the new series promises to be an exciting one as American Idol contestant and Dacula native, Josiah Siska, headlines the opening show. Known for his deep voice, performing songs from the likes Johnny Cash and Josh Turner on Idol, Siska is sure to entertain the crowd with his unique take on Country favorites. The show will be opened by show hosts, The Skillet Lickers. Founded by the great Gid Tanner, the Skillet Lickers are widely recognized as Country musics longest running band having been together for over 90 years and featuring an eclectic mix of classic country, bluegrass, and western swing.
The show featuring Josiah Siska on September 4th will begin promptly at 7:00pm, with gates opening at 6:00pm. Hamburgers, hot dogs and other concessions will be available on site. The event will be held at the Dacula Concert Pavilion located at 2652 Auburn Ave., Dacula, GA.
AM1680s Josh Tanner will be the emcee for the event, which will also be broadcast live on-air at AM1680 in Dacula and worldwide at CountryCrossroadsRadio.com. Country Crossroads will also be live on location from the pavilion for a special pre-concert broadcast from 5pm-7pm. We hope to see you in Dacula for a fun night of music on Labor Day weekend!
