The Gold Mine Presents A Night at the Poor Farm
The Gold Mine is collaborating with The Poor Farm for an incredible late-summer night of music featuring Drivestation, batteryboy (MPLS), and Good Night Gold Dust!

batteryboy:

batteryboy has been described by 89.3 The Current's Andrea Swensson as ...reminiscent of Cloud Cults acoustic work and neo-folkies like Bon Iver. batteryboy was founded as a solo project by Rouse in 2011, and now includes multi-instrumentalist Eric Carranza, cellist Hilary James (We are the Willows), and drummer Kahlil Brewington. Cloud Cult violinist Shannon Frid-Rubin and Trombonist Andrew Thoreen of Har-di-Har and J.E. Sundae also appear on several songs on the album.

On their new album "before the silence breaks", batteryboy has evolved to create a sonic niche of their own. Rouse claims batteryboy 'makes music to deal with everything else,' and when they sweep you up in their lush sound and cathartic, emotionally charged lyrics, you just might find some help dealing with everything else, too.

before the silence breaks is produced by Eric Martin and Cobey Rouse and will be released August 2, 2016 on Galloping Spread Records.

Drivestation is the vehicle for Mankato singer/songwriter Ian Hilmer's mixture of hardened, unsentimental folk rock. Drawing equally from the likes of John Prine and Pink Floyd, Hilmer's songs tell tales of lost loves and troubled relationships

Good Night Gold Dust is an electro indie pop quartet that blends live instruments and electronica to explore the uncertain territory of love, loss, and hope.
