Rewriting Love fights back against the continued oppression and violence perpetrated against the LGBT+ community by showing the humanity of members of this marginalized community. Featuring the amazing true stories of families who have redefined themselves to include transgender, asexual, bisexual and other members of the LGBT+ community, this film is family-friendly. Through interviews with the families, Rewriting Love will provide hope and concrete evidence that it is possible to redefine families to include LGBT+ members and to navigate the coming out process in a way that doesnt fracture family bonds, but rather reinforces them.
Closed Captions will be available on request at all screenings. ASL Interpreter will be present for the 3PM screening on August 21.
