You know what is sad? Orphans! You know what is even more sad? Thirsty orphans! So concerned sideshow performers in Washington DC have banded together to bring awareness to all the orphans in the district who may need a stiff drink. These five variety performers have decades of combined stage experience and senses of humor that would make even the Pope laugh out loud. Immediately followed by excommunication. Lets meet our saints and sinners!
Meet the deviously dainty carnival darling, Alex Doll; Hailing from DC, this dynamic damsel is an independent producer for Ripley's Believe It Or Not and textual maven at James Taylors Shocked and Amazed: On and Off the Midway. As a performer, she has brought sideshow to life on DMV stages and beyond- catch her LIVE on stage in your own backyard!
Jim Dandy is a multi-talented dynamo, audiences both familiar and unfamiliar with sideshow and burlesque have all been delighted and amazed by his antics. No audience is too large or small, Jim Dandy is sure to be a hit whether he's using his unparalleled juggling sticks, hosting the show, or simply eating a block of tofu.
Xander Lovecraft is a Coney Island trained Sideshow performer, who's also a world traveled burlesque emcee and performer. He emceed shows during the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and has even toured with Dave Chappelle and Flight of the Conchords back in 2013. He loves nothing more than traveling the world and preaching the good gospel of "Our Lady Sideshow". The Church of Sideshow is in session!"
Bella La Blanc is a burly-q veteran who fell in love with performance when she started singing and dancing at the age of 4 and was raised a musical theater kid who even chose to major in theater in her college years. She is a full time stay at home mom of 2, and housewife by day....and vixen of the stage and tease by night, which is how she received the title, "The Stepford Wife Gone Wild".
Charlie Artful is known as DCs sideshow son! Meagerly talented, but damned handsome, Charlie Artful will win your heart with his sideshow shennanigans! Much like your cool uncle, his wit knows no limits, and he will have you fainting with laughter! He's not a cheese steak, but when you are hungry, sometimes a steak and cheese will do!
This is going to be an interesting night and perhaps the birth of a new sideshow in Washington DC. You could be at the ground floor, buying us drinks!
