This dinner is suitable for ALL appetites and dietary preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, and paleo.
ABOUT THE FARM:
Oxford Road Farm originally was the home of a cattle ranch, grazing 640 acres between Oxford and Neva Roads. The ranch also included the entire top of Table Mountain (now a federal satellite farm). The farm property has 9 outbuildings, including a fully restored circa 1924 working barn and the 1913 farmhouse. The farm is surrounded on two sides by the Left Hand Creek riparian corridor, now open space. There are uninterrupted views of the Boulder Flatirons and foothills, and glimpses of the Indian Peaks. They have some of the largest cottonwoods and Colorado spruce trees in Boulder County spreading over the 2.5 acres of lawn that they keep in short grass. The farm's one-acre, year-round pond irrigates three fields where the owners grow hops, flowers, and vegetables. As a model of a self-sustainable farm, Oxford Road Farm also has a couple dozen egg-laying hens in their coop, seasonal pigs/sheep in pasture, and a variety of fruit plants and trees. Since 2014, the farm has been available to rent for weddings and other meaningful events.
