Eighteen dancers. Four weeks. Two innovative new works set against the backdrop of Santa Barbara's historical Alhecama Theatre.
Utilizing the creative resources of a city bursting with inspirational terroir, students of the Santa Barbara Centre for Aerial Dance's Summer Performance Pedagogy will present two fresh new works reflecting their intimate relationships with one another, and the bountiful city they call home.
After participating in a series of artist talks, field visits, master classes, and studio labs, the dancers have joined together on a collective journey from inspiration to execution, creating poignant work that will stir your sensibilities and captivate your heart.
Don't miss this opportunity to see Santa Barbara's young and vibrant artists share their latest exploration of flight-bound dance that moves beyond the perceived, drifting above the ethereal.
Admission includes a pre-performance cocktail reception in the theatre's outdoor courtyard, and a post-performance discussion with the artists.
