sh Salon August 2016
Salon: a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation. These gatherings often consciously followed Horace's definition of the aims of poetry, "either to please or to educate"
Atlanta Georgia will be well represented in Augusts sh Salon. Three stunningly beautiful humans will be performing, sharing with you the who, what and why of their passions.
Roula Roullete:
Roula Roulette has been performing and educating for years, both outside and inside the world of Burlesque. With a Master's Degree in Theatrical Production and Performance she has taken her love of theatre and the art of storytelling and made it a cornerstone of not only her persona but her Burlesque instruction at the Atlanta School of Burlesque. As a partner in the school she focuses on beginner movement, body positivity and the art of storytelling.
Roula is an active troupe member and project manager for The CandyBox Revue as well as a local fixture with both Hysteria Machines Experimental Burlesque and Hearts ABlaze Entertainment as a performer, designer and stage manager. She has had the honor to grace the stages of the Americana Burlesque and SideShow Festival, Great Southern Exposure, Southern Fried Burlesque Festival and DragonCon Burlesques Glamour Geek Review. She will be seen next in Columbia, SC with Shamelessly Hot, where shell get you hooked on Atlantas Addiction!
Nina Cherrise:
Nina Charrise is a native Atlantan who graduated in June of 2013 from the Atlanta School of Burlesque (then Studio Burlesque). A member of Atlantas Candybox Revue and a regular performer with Hysteria Machines, she has brought to the stage a wide range of striptease entertainment styles; these include Neo-Burlesque, classic striptease, group numbers and Nerdlesque. A formerly nationally ranked latin dancer, she has performed and choreographed in such classical dance forms such as ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and ballroom. Of all of the disciplines that she has pursued, the artistic freedom and sexual empowerment of burlesque make this style her greatest triumph and joy.
Ada Manzhart:
Ada is a 2014 graduate of the Atlanta school of burlesque, she has an insatiable appetite for the still beating hearts of her fans. She has been seen performing for events such as AWA, Southern Fried Burlesque Festival 2015, Powder Room, and has been a regular contestant of the burlesque improv show, Last Pasties Standing. Watch out for the Sweetest Succubus in the South, she'll eat your heart out!

Food and Drink
The food part of the format has evolved for 2016. Along with the performers, we are highlighting local chefs/restaurants. Thats right, we are partnering with some of the best talent in the culinary fields here in Columbia SC. We are applying the same concept to them that we do to our performers; they cook what they absolutely love to cook (may be on a menu somewhere, may not) and then they tell you why they do what they do (what makes them tick and so on) and a Q&A session.
For the Augusts sh Salon we are pleased to announce that Travis Rayle, the Head Chef of Rossos Trattoria will be with us. Travis will be crafting a custom menu specifically for sh Salon.
