An Evening with Eddie Watkins Jr.

Concert Begins at 7:00 p.m.
Optional - 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Bring your own dinner (and dinnerware) to enjoy before the concert. Picnic outside on our beautiful grounds or inside space will be available. An alcohol-free event.

About Singer, Songwriter, Musician Eddie Watkins Jr.:

At age 17 Eddie was noticed by legendary Motown producer Norman Whitfield at rehearsal. A few day later he got the call from Motown to play for Norman Whitfields new Temptations album Masterpiece. Luckily the year Eddie started playing bass for Motown is the year they started putting the musicians names on the albums. The Masterpiece album led to many more Motown sessions for Holland Dozier Holland (of Four Tops, Diana Ross and the Supremes) Marvin Gaye, The Dramatics and many more local Detroit groups.
When Motown moved from Detroit to Hollywood, Eddie followed and very quickly became one of the premier session bass player for everyone from James Brown to Barbara Streisand. Eddie has recorded with: Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Santana, Cher, Diana Ross, Pattie Labelle, The Pointer Sisters, Peter Frampton, The Temptations, and the list goes on and on!

In 2007 Eddie realized that he was here to serve and to spread this message of New Thought/Ancient Wisdom principles to the world through his special brand of music.
Eddie served 3 years as music director at Center For Spiritual Living, Greater Las Vegas and 3 years as choir director and director of music ministries at The
Center For Spiritual Living, Seattle.
In addition to his other recordings, in 2015 Eddie released the Across America CD. and has been traveling and performing throughout the US.

When Eddie performs, you feel his music, amazing voice and powerful delivery, which is spellbinding- whether delivering a funky Motown beat or a quiet meditative song. His music, is a heart-lifting, soul-stirring, cant stay in your seat experience!
