Body Percussion with Raul Cabrera from Cuba!
Rediscovering the possibilities of our body to create rhythms, movements and sounds! Touring the US, this Cuban vocalist and body percussionist extraordinaire offers a workshop based on vocal and body percussion instrumentation. The workshop consists of three concepts:
- the vowel instrumentation, the imitation of melodic and rhythmic
instruments with only the voice (e.g. congas, claves, trombone,
trumpet, etc ...)
- body percussion, focused on work patterns, traditional rhythmic
Cuban and Afro-Cuban genres such as bolero, cha cha cha, rumba
and others
- an ensemble including vocal and body percussion instrumentation.
