Dr. Bob Baker is a renowned Long Island gastroenterologist by day, and comedy ventriloquist by night. With his eclectic crew of wise-cracking special guests, Dr. Bob delivers a unique brand of witty banter and wry observational humor that audiences love. He has been a featured performer on Americas Got Talent, on the Dr. Oz Show, in numerous New York City and Long Island comedy clubs, and at high-end fundraisers, country clubs, and private events across the New York area. Dr. Bob studied with the legendary Tony Slydini, widely considered to be one of the three greatest sleight-of-hand masters of the 20th century and is one of the few magicians in the world who still performs some of Slydinis routines.
Joining Dr. Bob and making his debut at the Parlor of Mystery is master mystifier Rogue. Rogue, whose real name is Roger Quan was also featured on America's Got Talent where he demonstrated his distinctive brand of magic that combines humor with danger, to a stunned AGT audience. In addition to having performed professionally for some 20 years, Rogue has taught over 5,000 students magic including world-renowned Criss Angel. Rogue has been featured in countless magazines and news programs and operates a combination magic shop, school and theatre in Queens.
During intermission close-up magic will be performed in the theatre lobby by local close-up magician Bill Krupskas. Bill is a long time member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Society of American Magicians and the prestigious Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. He puts his own spin on many of the classic close-up magic routines.
The evening will be hosted by producer and emcee Mike Maione just back from lecturing on the art of magic to magicians at The Magic Circle, the prestigious English magic club in London. Mike is Long Islands silliest magician best known for family friendly entertainment and one of the originators of the Parlor of Mystery where his magic has a decidedly more grown-up flavor.
