Award winning Barcelona based theatre company Can Ducks Fly are taking their first show Alpha Delta 86 to the Ume Group in Grace and St Paul's Church in New York, along with several other nights in NYC.

Alpha Delta 86 follows two clownesque spies who covertly listen to international phone conversations, discover incriminated citizens, and sentence them accordingly. These two very different women work in a dystopian Alpha Delta (amorous detection) office. They have been entrusted with the responsibility of finding loved up miscreants in the vicinity and sending them for quarantine. Unfortunately, they are more interested in eating biscuits than finding culprits.
A comic, Lecoq style, physical theatre show including audience participation, use of a typewriter as musical accompaniment, and biscuit eating spies.

Nowadays we are all desperate for love and attention, 'likes' and internet points seem to have become more important than real human connections. Their boss warns them that there is an infected person nearby, and they bravely search the audience with a plethora of spy gadgets to discover the guilty party. A fully interactive show, audience members will be thoroughly checked and if found guilty of love their coordinates will be sent to headquarters.

As with any show where clowns are involved, they get distracted by everything and the prospect of a tea break becomes more important than the matter at hand. The two clowns challenge one another to be more efficient and less emotionally attached throughout the process. In a final twist, it turns out that in a world where love has been banned, these two clowns have inadvertently fallen for each other.

Company Bio- Can Ducks Fly Theatre
Can Ducks Fly are an award winning theatre company who create visually stunning, spectacularly fun, physical theatre. We thrive on fascinating stories, grotesque characters and true, heart felt emotion. Our narratives deal with big truths, large underlying human states and universal characters. Our deliciously dark and endlessly inventive theatre will keep you on the edge of your seat and laughing out loud.
The company works from a heritage of Commedia as channeled through the Lecoq training. Our production of Hello Telephones had a highly acclaimed tour around Spain and Portugal in 2015 and our previous show The Misdemeanours of Sachharrine was a great success in the Mimetic Festival 2014.
Can Ducks Fly was set up in 2014 in Barcelona by Kiva Murphy and Filipa Mendes, meeting whilst studying the Lecoq pedagogy. Between them they speak 4 languages fluently and this multitude of styles and cultures is a large basis for the work they create together.
Currently they are artists in Centro Civico Sandaru in Barcelona, and are being funded by the Arts Council Ireland as well as by private donations.

Kiva Murphy is an Irish/ French actress who lives between Barcelona and London. She studied physical theatre in the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris, as well as training with Aitor Basurri and Desmond Jones.
She works as a clown doctor in hospitals throughout Spain with the Theodora foundation as well as acting in films and commercials. Kiva runs a clown agency in London, to hear more about it, simply click: www.alakazamevents.com For more information about her performing and acting click here www.kivamurphy.com

Filipa Mendes is Portuguese and studied the Pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq in the Berty Tovias School in Barcelona. She has also worked with Philippe Gaulier and Merche 8A. She is a singer, songwriter, and a professional musician. Since 2013, she has been touring throughout Europe with different clown, musical and circus shows, working both in festivals and performing on the street. She carries on presenting her act throughout Spain. To learn more take a look at: www.filipaoliveiramendes.wix.com
