Tonight, join Mark Jacobson--journalist and all-around raconteur of the not-too-beaten path--for an evening of extraterrestrial pulp as he hosts science-fiction novelist and world's greatest collector of flying saucer memorabilia/bric-a-brac Jack Womack. Author of the Philip K. Dick award-winning "Elvissey," Womack's collection of saucer stuff stretches back to the original sighting by Kenneth Arnold and continues through the paperback heyday of the 1950's and 60's. Kept on file at Georgetown University, it has been compiled into the forthcoming book "Flying Saucers Are Real," featuring an introduction by Science Fiction immortal William Gibson.

Tonight, Womack will show copious samples of the spectacular array and discuss related matters, including the remarkable contribution of Amazing Stories editor Raymond Palmer (and his star writer Richard Shavers) with Jacobson.

Mark Jacobson is a journalist, screenplay writer, novelist, radio host Author of "Gojiro," a novel of Godzilla, "The Lampshade," non-fiction account of an evil object that turned up in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the story for the movie American Gangster, as well as long-time host of the KGB Radio Hour.
