Good Vibe Tribe Luau & Pig Roast
We love summertime in Seattle. We also love BBQs, beaches, and being around great people. Sunday, July 3rd were putting those pieces together at Golden Gardens for the Good Vibe Tribe Luau & Pig Roast!
We're teaming up with Mafi Events and Luam Wersom, chef and owner of Mojito in Lake City (one of our favorite spots in Seattle) to roast two whole hogs plus cook an assortment of other delicious island-inspired eats.
We've got a shelter at the park reserved, a batch of fun beach and outdoor activities planned and a sunset fire show to cap off the night courtesy of Under Ground Visions.
All you need to do is show up, chow down on some amazing food, and have a good time for a good cause.
The event is free, but you'll need to buy a ticket if you want some food. The ticket covers one plate and a donation, and well be serving food from 7-9pm. On the menu we've got:
Luam's Rotisserie Roasted Whole Pig/Hog (Mojitos)
Parilla: Cuban barbecued beef (Mojitos)
Congri: Cuban-style black beans & rice) (Mojitos)
Tropical fruit (Good Vibe Tribe)
Hawaiian Salad (Good Vibe Tribe)
Donation Tiers: you receive the same wristband allowing for access to the food at the event the tiers only allow for different amounts of donation to said cause:
Lil Piggy - $15
Big Kahuna - $20
King Kamehameha - $30
Proceeds from the event are benefiting Marys Place, a local non-profit dedicated to providing safe shelter, job training, and job placement for homeless families throughout Seattle.
