erotica | storytelling | cocktails | cash prizes
Black Sex Matters is an event series celebrating sensuality and pleasure in liberation struggles. Hosted by music & poetry powerhouse Nikki Patin, Black Sex Matters will feature a sex-positive slam where lovers, artists, & activists are invited to compete for $100 cash prize with true stories of sensual & erotic joy. Featuring a panel of celebrity judges, Black Sex Matters explores how pleasure shapes visions of liberation and how artists and activists navigate their sexuality in social justice spaces.
ALL ARE WELCOME! Black Sex Matters serves as a fundraiser for arts activism. All ticket & bar sales benefit Kristiana Rae Colón & Tara Branham's production of good friday, a play that explores millennial feminism & sexual violence, which is being produced for public access theater at Oracle. Oracle offers all of its shows for free and is committed to making high quality art accessible to all. Drink, love, & get sexy while supporting provocative art that challenges the status quo.
