New York City reggae outfit New Kingston formed in 2006 by their father Courtney Panton Sr. in their hometown Brooklyn blend Reggae with R&B & Hip-Hop to create their New York meets Jamaica sound. The band is a true family affair, featuring three brothers (Stephen, Courtney Jr., and Tahir), who all sing and play instruments, joined by their father, Courtney Sr. who plays bass. With their Jamaican roots, reggae is in the bands blood, but having grown up in the musical melting pot of Brooklyn New York City, the three brothers bring in plenty of other influences as well.
New Kingston definitely stands out in the current scene, says Easy Star CEO Eric Smith. Their show is dynamic and exciting, they are one of the hardest working bands we have ever met, and every other artist we talk to has nothing but positive things to say about them. Musically, we feel they bring something different to the label, something that feels current, and at the same, brings us back to our earliest days of releasing reggae in New York.
Starting from the basement of their Brooklyn home before they took to the outside world, brothers Tahir (keys), Courtney Jr. (drums) & Stephen (guitar) jammed over and over to Bob Marley, Earth Wind & Fire, Dennis Brown, Michael Jackson, The Whispers and many more until it sounded right to father Courtney Panton Sr. He wanted their vocabulary of music to be very eclectic before they hit a stage! "If you ask New Kingston if we still know all those songs, the answer is yes haha says drummer Courtney Jr. "But they were all favorites that we loved and forever listened to" Afterwards, they have performed to other basements and backyards around town to clubs to Festivals worldwide such as; California Roots Festival, Monterey Bay Reggae Festival, Reggae On The River, Summer Jam Germany, Uppsala Reggae Festival and many more.... Kingston City, released on January 27th, 2015, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Reggae chart making it their first billboard apperance.
The Cornerstone
is a Reggae/Rock/Funk band hailing from the South Shore of Boston, Massachusetts. The band is fronted by lead singer/songwriter/rhythm guitarist Jackson Wetherbee who has toured internationally. The Cornerstone also features musicians formerly of New England Music Award winning bands The Aldous Collins Band and Last Call. The sound is similar to that of UB40, The Police, Sublime and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their show is fun, energetic and has festive crowds dancing, grooving, and singing along. For the last two years, the band has been booked by Heineken to head to the Caribbean to play the annual Heineken St. Maarten Regatta supporting headliners Kool and The Gang and Akon. The Cornerstone played several ski resorts in the winter of 2015 and opened for Ballyhoo. The band has garnered the interest of major labels and industry professionals and beat out over 1300 bands through ReverbNation for a spot on The Levitate Music Festival with Stick Figure, Collie Buddz, Trombone Shorty and Galactic. This past October, The Cornerstone headed down to Washington, DC to record their debut album at the Lion & Fox Studios engineered by the legendary Mike Caplan (SOJA, Rebelution, Groundation).

EarthKry
The Earth Kry band was born and nurtured within the halls of the Edna Manley College of The Visual & Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica where four budding musicians hoped to hone their skills. Their journey began with a twist of fate which brought together keyboard player Phillip Mcfarlane , drummer Kieron Cunningham, bass guitarist Kamardo Blake and vocalist/guitarist Aldayne Haughton, to play a series of small gigs. Drawing inspiration from Bob Marley and The Wailers, The Beatles, John Holt, Peter Tosh, Jacob Miller, Black Uhuru and Steel Pulse, the group soon cemented a wholesome fusion of Roots Reggae, Souls and Rock genres for a fresh but universal sound.
Much like the iconic reggae outfit The Wailers, the band chose its name, Earth Kry, to signify its mission to voice the grievances of the downtrodden through the vibrations of their music. Befittingly, their debut single 9 to 5 echoes the daily tribulations of the working class who are barely able to make ends meet from the menial wages they receive.
Since 2013 the band has spent much of their time creating music with other notable artistes in recording sessions while further developing their signature sound. Through the guidance of veteran drummer/ lecturer Derrick Stewart, veteran trumpeter Nambo Robinson and guitarist/former tutor Maurice Gordon, the band works towards releasing their first E.P and then debut album Hard Road in the near future.
DJ RAH-G-RAJ
A veteran DJ of over 30 years. He has been doing events since the beginning of Hip Hop. A well skilled turntablist with the ability to enhance any event. Rah-G-Raj did 2 years as a resident DJ in Heilbronn Germany while in the military. He had a recording contract with Roof Records from 1989 to 1991. He now owns and operates his own company named ROLI Professional Entertainment Co.
