YOL, which means road or way in Turkish, tells the story of one girl on a mystical journey, exploring a path formed by her own curiosity and imagination. Interacting with the supernatural and mysterious aspects of her own mind, she undergoes her own evolution as both storyteller and observer. A story told through a mix between a new form of circus and theatre, YOL explores what our beliefs say about us and the possibility of returning to a childlike wonder about the world around us.

This production is made possible with the support of PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century in Chatham, NY who has granted Marquise Productions a residency.

Marquise Productions is a Troy, New York-based contemporary circus production company. We strive to collaborate with international artists to provide them with the tools and space to create, present, and produce their work. By collaborating closely with our artists we long to foster an environment where ideas and concepts can break the threshold of imagination and can be put in front of an audience

Marquise Productions was founded by Executive Artistic Director Aaron M. Marquise. Previous performances include a special performance at the CBS6 2015 Melodies of Christmas at Proctors Theatre, as well as Running and Light Up Troy; full length original circus shows held in the historic Gasholder Building in Troy, NY. Past and present performers currently work with, study at, or are alumni of: Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Eloize, Circus Monti, Circus Smirkus, Ecole Nationale de Cirque in Montreal and Ecole de Cirque de Quebec.
