The Borrower's - The Musical
The Borrowers - The Musical, written and directed by Carmels own Walt deFaria, is an original work based on the classical family books by the British author Mary Norton, and goes along with the long tradition of presenting original material that traces back to some of the Forest Theater Guilds original founders Mary Austin, Perry Newberry and Herbert Heron. Have you ever wondered what happened to those missing socks, pins, needles, stamps and other little items that seem to randomly turn up missing when you most want to use them? If so then, this unique little story will give you a whole new perspective. In the 1950s, an English woman by the name of Mary Norton (author of Bedknobs and Broomsticks) chronicled her suspicions about where the missing items disappeared to in a series of delightful family books The Borrowers. Join us for an adventure through the world of small people who live beneath the floorboards Borrowing little items that they can most use but, that they deem unimportant in our lives.
