The Shifty Sailors (Children 10 and under: Free)
We are the Shifty Sailors, a male singing group from Whidbey Island, Washington. We are well-known by many in the Northwest for our enthusiastic singing and crowd-pleasing presentations. We are UNIQUE because we are the only large male group in the U.S. dedicated to a nautical repertoire.
Since 2000 we have traveled extensively, especially in Europe.
Listed are just a few of our tours:
2001 - Bergen, Norway
2003 - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany and Denmark
2005 - Ireland, Wales, England and France
2007 - Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine Seaports
2009 - Lahaina and Kihei on the island of Maui, Hawaii
2010 - Czech Republic (Cesky Krumlov and Prague)
2013 - West Coast Tour
2015 - Vancouver Island, BC, Canada
We consider ourselves Ambassadors of Whidbey Island; the state of Washington, and the United States when we travel. AND in 2010 we were ambassadors once again as the FIRST AMERICAN GROUP to perform at the International Shanty Chorus Festival in Prague, Czech Republic.
Our main mission is to make sure the surrounding communities understand their own nautical history. We do this by singing at festivals, senior centers, museums,
Doors open at 6:30 pm to the pre-show indoor picnic dinner. Tables and chairs provided. Don't forget your picnic basket! Common Fence is helping Williams Productions to promote this event.
