Snap on 2&4 w/ Imer Santiago & the OCSA Jazz A Big Band
Join us on Friday, May 13 at 8PM for a special Snap on 2&4 featuring the Imer Santiago Quintet and the OCSA Jazz A Big Band!

Trumpeter Imer Santiago is known to Nashville jazz fans as the leader of his own quintet, as well as one of the founding leaders of latin jazz band El Movimiento. Imer recently accepted a position in Florida in one of the state's top high school music programs, and he's returning in force to the Jazz Cave at the Nashville Jazz Workshop!

The concert will feature sets by Santiago with his quintet, and with the OSCA Jazz A Big Band.

Osceola County School for the Arts (OCSA) Jazz A Big Band

The OCSA Jazz A Big Band, under the direction of trumpeter Edwin Imer Santiago, is the Osceola County School for the Arts premiere high school Jazz Ensemble.  Jazz A students hail from all over Osceola County, FL, and have performed around the Sunshine State of Florida over the past 13 years at many venues and conferences.   They enjoy performing big band music of various styles and eras, including Latin, Swing, Fusion, original compositions, and the Ellington songbook.  In May 2014, Jazz A performed at Lincoln Center in New York City, as a finalist for the Essentially Ellington High School Competition, and even received an invitation to  perform at the historic Monterey Jazz Festival.  OCSA Jazz A consistently earns Superior ratings at Florida Bandmaster Association (FBA) District & State Jazz MPA.  Jazz A alumni have gone on to attend various prestigious university programs, and can be heard performing around the United States and abroad.

The performance starts at 8pm. Doors open at 7:15.

There will be two sets beginning at 8:00 pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop. Admission is $25 / $15 high school and college students with ID.
