Event
Rock the Farm
Saturday, August 20, 2016 we will ROCK THE FARM in Morton, Illinois!
Headlining this event are The Way Down Wanderers - Equal parts fast-paced and soulful, 5-piece modern-folk Americana act, The Way Down Wanderers, draw in listeners with energy, originality and soulful generosity. Playing, performing and writing together for just over a year, the Wanderers have built an enthusiastic and fast-growing following across the country, earning Deli Magazine's Readers Choice title of Chicagos Best Emerging Artist, 2014. Youthful and professionally trained, these young men captivate audiences with soaring instrumentals, foot stomping sing-alongs and a lively stage show.
Opening the evening are Bone Jugs - Bones, jug, xylophone, kazoos, resonator guitar, banjo, upright bass, trap kit, horns, and all sorts of noise makers. These are just some of the instruments Bones Jugs use to conjure up their eclectic acoustic sound. The group offers a musical experience that can be enjoyed on street corners, in corn fields, on the beach, in a living room, amplified in a club, and just about anywhere else. A frenzy of frivolity. A marvel of merriment. A 21st century throwback to 1920s ragtime, a newagey jugband twist, an indescribable sonic carnival. In short, its just loads of fun.
