Daphne Lee Martin with Gill Landry (of Old Crow Medicine Show)
Daphne Lee Martin started making music when she was just a kid. Growing up in southern Ohio, the family had always been around a great wealth of white gospel, mountain ballads, classic country and Old Time fiddle and banjo tunes. She was never one for the raucous numbers, but stuck mostly with the torch songs and does to this day. She now is a staple on the burgeoning New London CT music scene and just won the New England Music Award for Songwriter Of The Year.
Louisiana native, Gill Landry, is a singer-songwriter, multi- instrumentalist, adventuresome photographer, rubber tramp gentleman, self taught painter, shade tree mechanic, and then some. Gill's self titled third album is his first on the ATO label, but he is not new to the family. He's played guitar, banjo, pedal steal, and been a contributing songwriter in Old Crow Medicine Show since 2004. Although Gill's music is influenced by some of the same sources as Old Crow, from Dylan to old delta blues songsters, his music is very much his own.
