Cocktails for a Cause Annual Spring Mixer and 2016 Pajama & Tote Drive
You're invited to an after-work cocktail social to benefit Friends of Foster Kids!
Take a mid-week break from work and meet some friends while enjoying delicious finger foods, flatbread pizzas, appetizers, beverages and more, all while helping a wonderful local charity!
Each ticket includes:
* Heavy appetizers and flatbreads
* A beer or wine
* Door Prizes
* A $10 gift card for a future visit to J. Baldwin's
Also during the evening:
* Basket Auction/Raffle
* Basket of Cheer Raffle
* Cash Bar
Our beneficiary, Friends of Foster Kids, (FOFK) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in Macomb County, Michigan in 2008. FOFK originally provided a Christmas for foster children removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect and placed in temporary housing or shelters. FOFK now focuses services on four key programs: Christmas, College, Cars, and Care. FOFK has expanded its services to lend a hand to the older children as they become young adults, going off to college and learning to live independently. Without the support of family, FOFK helps them by meeting some of their needs.
PAJAMA & TOTE BAG / BACKPACK DRIVE:
Many foster kids do not have PJs to sleep in, and often are forced to move from home to home using plastic bags. PLEASE consider bringing a new pair of PJs in a new backpack, duffel bag or tote bag for a child in foster care (sizes infant through 4X).
