Stella Niagara Tour
The Stella Niagara Preserve was recently purchased by the Western New York Land Conservancy. The property, formerly owned by the Sisters of St. Francis, is located on the Niagara River along Lower River Road in the Town of Lewiston just north of Niagara Falls, and sits across from the Stella Niagara Education Park and Center of Renewal. With 29 acres and over a quarter mile of shoreline, it is the largest privately owned, undeveloped tract of land along the entire length of the Niagara River. The property is incredibly scenic, and is one of our region's most ecologically and historically important places.
This tour involves about 1-1.5 hours of moderately strenuous walking. Ticket price includes a one-year membership to the WNY Land Conservancy.
Parking for this tour will be at the Lewiston Senior Center (4361 Lower River Road, Youngstown NY 14171). If you would kindly park in the lot nearest the baseball diamonds along Pletcher Road it would be greatly appreciated. The tour will meet by the sign for the Senior Center before walking over to the Preserve.
