"Sharing the Work: What my Family and Career Taught Me about Breaking Through (and Holding the Door Open for Others)"
Labor economist Myra Strobers lifes work has been to study and fight sexism at work, in academia and in the home. Her memoir captures the spirit of a revolution lived fully.
"Strobers compelling story is a page-turner, a home run! It should be required reading in business, law and all the social sciences." -- Irma Herrera, playwright, solo performer and former Executive Director of Equal Rights Advocates of San Francisco
Denied even a faculty position at Berkeley, Strober rallied to become one of the voices of her generation at Stanford. Her memoir takes readers from her Brooklyn childhood to her groundbreaking Stanford seminar on women and work. This pioneer continues this important work today.
Myra Strober is a labor economist and Professor at the School of Education at Stanford University. She is the coauthor of The Road Winds Uphill All the Way: Gender, Work and Family in the United States and Japan.
The event is free - please register today.
