Collaborative Problem Solving - An Innovative Approach for Teaching, Treating and Parenting Children with Challenging Behavior
PLEASE NOTE:  DATE OF THIS TRAINING HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM FEBRUARY 27 TO APRIL 9, 2016

This Full-Day training in Collaborative Problem Solving provides an overview and applications of CPS, an innovative, compassionate, and proven approach for understanding and helping children (and adults) with behavioral challenges.

*** THIS TRAINING HAS BEEN "SET TWO" APPROVED BY THE OREGON REGISTRY *** (Content is delivered and learning designed so as to be appropriate accessible and applicable for attendees at all Set Levels.)

Research shows that lacking skills in things like frustration tolerance, flexibility, and problem solving can lead to behavioral challenges. By viewing others (both children and adults) through a more empathetic and accurate lens regarding what is getting in the way - some very crucial cognitive(thinking) skills necessary to handle the demands of everyday life - we are better able to intervene to support them through a collaborative process of using/strengthening skills and solving problems .

Presented by Think:Kids certified professional trainer, Doris Bowman, M.S.Ed, this full-day intensive training is intended to provide a comprehensive understanding of the key principles and approach of CPS, and equip participants with the ability to begin using CPS in their home or professional setting. For more information about the CPS model visit: http://bowmanconsultgroup.com/cps-with-kids-and-adults/  or  www.thinkkids.org.
