The Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra under the musical direction of Julien Benichou proudly presents performances by our Preparatory Orchestra, String Orchestra, Concert Orchestra, Junior Flute Ensemble, and Wind Ensemble at our afternoon concert.
For our evening concert we are pleased to welcome the internationally renowned French flute soloist Jean Ferrandis as our special guest. He will be performing Gieseking Sonatina by Walter Gieseking with our Senior Flute Ensemble, directed by Gail Vehslage, and Flute Concerto in G Major, K313 by Mozart with our Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Julien Benichou.
Please join us at 1:00 PM for light refreshments and a silent auction and raffle prior to our 2:00 PM concert. Our Jazz Ensemble will be there to entertain you!
We look forward to having you also join us at our 6:00 PM reception with wine and refreshments. Our Jazz Ensemble will be providing entertainment for you as our silent auction and raffle continues prior to our 7:30 PM concert.
This year there is no reserved seating. Auditorium doors open 15 minutes before the concert to give you time to choose your seats. Please note that once the concert has begun, you will only be able to enter or leave the auditorium between pieces.
Adult $50.00 in advance*
Senior S40.00 (65 and above)
Student $10.00 (ages 5 to 21)
When ordering tickets, please request complimentary tickets for younger children and CYSO Musicians who will be sitting in the audience with you.
*Advance ticket sales end Thursday, March 10, 2016. Tickets purchased online will be available for pick up at Will Call. CYSO families can pick their tickets up at rehearsals in March.
Free parking is available in the Bladen Street Garage, 19 St Johns St, at the corner of St Johns and Calvert St.
