'Imagine': John Lennon Celebrating 1971, the 'Imagine' LP, and other Beatles and Solo Classics
Steve Sgambati captures the essence of John Lennon in a tribute performance that will spotlight 1971. Marking the 45th anniversary of Lennon's landmark song and album 'Imagine', Mr. Sgambati fronts a rocking band that includes original Plastic Ono Elephant's Memory Band bassist Gary Van Scyoc. The set includes John Lennon's three hit singles from 1971, along with highlights from the 'Imagine' album, and other classic songs from the Beatles and solo Lennon catalogs.

Steve Sgambati has been performing in Beatles Tribute shows throughout the country and abroad since 1994.  His original band, The Remnants, were one of the chosen bands to represent America at International Beatles Week 1999, where his performance attracted 350,000 people in the city of Liverpool.  Appearances at The Cavern Club and The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts garnered rave reviews, prompting an invitation for the band to return in 2000 for encore performances.

Steve has performed with many rock legends, including Al Jardine (The Beach Boys), Gerry Marsden (Gerry and the Pacemakers) and Dee Snider (Twisted Sister). Over the past 15 years, he has also teamed up with numerous Beatles acts, including original cast members of Beatlemania. And, within the Beatles immediate 'family', Steve has played with Steve Holley (Paul McCartney & Wings drummer) as well as two members of John Lennon's 'Plastic Ono Elephants Memory Band', Adam Ippolito and Gary Van Scyoc.

Gary Van Scyoc brings to the table a history of 50+ years working in the music industry as a studio musician, recording artist, producer, singer/songwriter, book author and music educator.  In addition to his work with John and Yoko, Gary's performance and recording credits include such notable artists as: Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Mick Jagger, Stevie Wonder, Jerry Garcia, Neil Sadaka, Keith Moon, and Paul Simon   to name a few.  For more info on Gary visit his website: www.garyvanscyoc.com.

For this tribute event, the band also includes lead guitarist "Jimmy Mack", currently lead guitarist/vocalist for rock legend Genya Ravan. Jimmy also performs with Rock n' Roll Hall of Famer Gene Cornish (The Rascals), and he has played with countless music legends, including Tommy James, The Ramones, The Hollies, Vanilla Fudge, Hall & Oates and The Smithereens.

Steve, his very special guests, and his original band-mates, Tom Christie (drums/percussion/vocals) and Dean Bohana (piano/keys/vocals), are pleased and honored to bring this tribute to you; a night of incredible music and unsurpassed professionalism, complete with a personal "slice of Lennon" like no other!
