Muncie Gras
Let the Good Times Roll!
MUNCIE, IND. It is DWNTWN Muncie's biggest party of the year! DWNTWN is gearing up for its 14th annual Muncie Gras celebration. The party will take place in the streets of downtown Muncie on Saturday, March 19th, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Locals, visitors and students ages 21 and older are welcome to join in the New Orleans-style festivities
Event Director Cheryl Crowder said, "It's our version of Bourbon on Walnut Street! This year should be bigger and better than ever. We're building an event that continues to gain exposure throughout the Midwest." Last year's event drew upwards of 8,000 attendees from throughout the region.
This year's entertainment offerings include the ever popular mechanical bull,the wizzer,the tumbleweed, human orbs, go-go cage, The Extreme Micro Wrestling Federation,"Illuminate" dance party and game tent with oxygen bar, Be Here Now's live music stages, Carenza's Caravan of belly dancers, fire spinners and aerial acts, After Dark's drag show and sizzling hot male revue, and tons of live entertainment indoors and out to keep you in the party mood! Multiple outdoor bars will keep the libations flowing throughout the night.
The event is open to those 21 years and over. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. The MITS trolley and buses will provide a safe ride home, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. with routes to the Ball State campus and Lyndenbrook area hotels.
