Jodi Bhangra - Valentine's Day Special Workshop by NYC Bhangra
"Jodi" is the punjabi word for a couple. NYC Bhangra brings for you a workshop specially designed for Bhangra done with a partner. Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned Bhangra dancer, join this workshop to get the basics of how to rock the floor with your partner.
In a two hour session, we will teach you elegant, simple moves to begin with, followed by medium paced, energetic Bhangra. It all ends with a fun and upbeat Bhangra party.
On both days, the sessions will be led by our creative director Megha Kalia.

** Is this event just for couples?
While it is best to come in a pair with your special someone or just a friend (*wink*), you are welcome to sign-up for a single entry for the workshop. We will try to help you pair up in the workshop.
** I have two left feet, can I still participate?
Yes, even absolute beginners are welcome to join the workshop. We'll get everyone down with the basics in the beginning. Just bring your smile, energy and chemistry to the workshop!
** Who will be teaching the workshop?
NYC Bhangra's creative director Megha Kalia will conduct the sessions on both days with her team.
** Why Bhangra on Valentine's Day?
Bhangra is a fun, happy & energetic dance that is done on all occasions. What better way to celebrate LOVE for friends, partners and others!
** What kind of music will I dance on?
We will be using popular, foot-tapping Bhangra music from independent albums and Bollywood.
** What should I wear to the workshop? Is there a changing room at the location?
Wear anything comfortable in which you can easily lift legs and raise your hands. Both locations have changing rooms.
** Are the sessions on the two days different?
The sessions on both days will follow a similar choreography, though the attendees on the second day will get a video recording done of the final choreography which will be shared privately via youtube.
